Today I'll take you on a trip to Oban and Dunolly Castle which play a vital role through out all of my books as the home of Lord MacDougall.
Begin of Chapter 25 LORD MACDOUGALL
Lord MacDougall stood on the Castle’s tower
and watched as the sun’s golden orb slowly disappeared behind the hills and
valleys in a haze of copper and purple, making way for the fast-approaching
night sky. He was a man of extraordinary stature and strength despite his age.
His eyes were as blue as the summer sky, gentle and bright. His thick wavy hair
had lost its golden hue and shimmered like spun silver in the evening sun. The
Lord had seen and fought many battles and had lost the two women that had meant
everything to him. His young wife had died of a high fever many years ago, and
his beloved Daughter lost her life in childbirth. He was still mourning their
deaths and despised the silence surrounding him. He knew he would die without
an heir, leaving his land and people without protection.
