This episode of my podcast is to answer requests many of you made concerning my life in the Caribbean.

On September 7. 2004, Hurricane Ivan, a category 4 storm, wreaked havoc for more than six hours on the Island of Grenada. It damaged or destroyed 90 per cent of houses, leaving more than 50% of the one hundred thousand islanders homeless and claimed 39 lives.

The island’s agricultural sector was almost 80%    destroyed. The islands hotels, yacht harbours and infrastructure lay in ruins.

Ivan was the second of the two hurricanes to spawn more than 100 tornadoes in the 2004 hurricane season. The 120 tornadoes produced by Ivan are the most of any hurricane or tropical storm on record and left $1 billion in damages in its path, most of it on the Island of Grenada.
