As a special treat I'll give you a short glimpse into my next book

© Ursula Williams

Amanda’s scream echoed through the quarry mightier than thunder, foretelling the death and destruction to come. Giant rocks broke loose and tumbled downhill, loosened other rocks on their way, smashing everything in their path and exploding with a deafening crash. Dust and screams filled the air, and the ground under Amanda’s feet began to shake and crumble when she felt a hand tightening around her arm, lifting her high into the sky. Amanda looked up to thank the Sluagh who had come to her rescue and was amazed when she saw Ralston's  face.
‘You didn’t think of your own escape Mo Chridhe,’ he said with a warm smile and pulled her onto the saddle.
‘But how,’ Amanda sighed, looking at Ralston in bewilderment.
‘Never mind, Mo Lennan. I’ll tell you later,’ Ralston whispered. He wrapped his arms around Amanda, pulled her into a tight embrace and kissed her.

I thought you might like another short excerpt from Book one of my series. "Do you believe in a world of magic?

Dear friends and followers,
Since we still have to put up with some nasty weather, I thought you might like a short excerpt from Book one of my series. "Do you believe in a world of magic?"

"Wow, Glen, that was a brilliant blow!" Ursula exclaimed stepping out from behind a large boulder. “But it's kinda rude to take your teacher out on your first day of training."

"Oy, don't distract him lass, it could cost him dearly," Keelin shouted back to Ursula, swung his staff and struck the back of Glen's knees, sending him into the river with a big splash.

"Crivens, Ursula, what did you do that for," Glen shouted back at her?

"Well, you looked so hot I thought you could do with a cold dip!" Ursula giggled  throwing him a mischievous look.

"Don't fret, Glen me lad, it was a good practice. It showed you that you must focus and not allow anything or anyone to distract you while you are in combat. This time  you only got wet, but the next time it could cost you your life."

"Aye right! Thanks, Keelin for setting him straight. I only meant well," Ursula chuckled and continued to collect river pebbles when she heard the hissing sound of an arrow and felt it graze her boot.

"Who the feck did that?" Ursula yelled in shock.

"I did. I had to stop you from bothering my brother," Hugh replied bursting with laughter.

"Are you out of your bloody mind, Hugh? You could have killed me!"

"Nay, Mo Lennan. Only if I had my eyes closed."

"Oh, I'll get you for this you eegit. You just wait! Where are you hiding ? I can't see you."

"Look up. See me now? I am in the ash tree, right across the river."

"Nope!"

"Perfect, that means our training with Oren and Faerydae truly helped me to improve my disguise."

My latest interview with the most courageous fellow writer Barbara Spencer goes live today at noon GMT.

I am delighted for having the opportunity to share my latest interview with the most courageous fellow writer Barbara Spencer with you today.  Barbara was born in Bowdon, Cheshire, grew up in Birmingham and could have lived a well-protected and ordinary life, but that was not for her.  Her love for cricket and an insatiable thirst to see the world brought her to the Caribbean Islands, New York, Greece and the Middle East.

She witnessed the Black Power Riots in the West Indies, the overthrow of the Greek Government by the military junta and the war in Lebanon.  Found herself trapped in a Beirut hotel in the middle of a rocket attack and made her escape through a rain of bullets crouching on the floor of a taxicab.
